AmFaith (American Faith Academy) is an online Christian school for kindergarten through grade 12 with a classical curriculum and a parent-partnership model. Its published tuition is about $2,260 a year for K-2 and $3,000 a year for grades 3-12; SOAR math and language-arts support is listed from $69 a month.
The arithmetic
Online learning programs are an approved LA GATOR category when bought in the Odyssey marketplace. At those published prices the standard $5,243 award would cover tuition with money left for tutoring or a laptop. Check that the school is listed as a marketplace provider before paying.

Where it can fit in Acadiana
- Families in smaller towns in Evangeline, Vermilion or St. Mary Parish where the nearest approved school is a long drive.
- Families on the LA GATOR waitlist who want a low-cost accredited year.
- Families who already homeschool and want a structured Christian curriculum.
- Oilfield families who expect a move and want a program that travels with them.
The trade-offs
A campus offers supervision, classmates, sports and, at most Acadiana schools, daily Mass or chapel. An online program needs a parent at home who can keep the schedule. Families who choose it often add a co-op, parish youth activities or a sports league.
Questions to ask any online school
- Are you a registered Odyssey marketplace provider today?
- Are you accredited, and how do Louisiana schools treat your transcripts?
- How much live teaching is there each week?
- What does a parent need to supervise at each grade level?
- What is not included in tuition?
The registration rule still applies
An online school does not change the rule that an LA GATOR student cannot also be registered as a BESE-approved home study program. The home-based page explains it.
We include AmFaith as one online option because its price sits below the standard award. It does not pay for this placement, and any commercial relationship on this site is labeled where it applies.
